Hubballi: Former Chief Minister and BJP Central Parliamentary Board member BS Yediyurappa has firmly stated that Pralhad Joshi will indeed contest from the Dharwad Lok Sabha seat, with no changes expected. Yediyurappa’s clarification came in response to Fakira Dingaleshwar Swamiji’s claim that Joshi played a role in Yediyurappa’s removal from the chief ministership.

Addressing reporters on Wednesday, the BJP veteran clarified that he was unaware of the context in which the Seer made his statement. Yediyurappa expressed readiness to engage in discussions to resolve any misunderstandings the Seer may have had.

Yediyurappa dismissed the demands of Lingayat seers, affirming that the party would not alter Joshi’s candidature. He lauded Joshi’s inclusive leadership, attributing his prominent position in the government to his ability to unite people from all communities. Yediyurappa pledged to address the concerns of the seers, including Dingaleswhar Swamiji.

Meanwhile, Minister Joshi declined to respond directly to the demands of the Lingayat seers or the personal allegations against him. He expressed admiration for Dingaleshwar Swami and welcomed the charges made by the Seer as blessings. Joshi also expressed openness to dialogue with the Swamiji, provided the latter agreed to engage in discussion.
